Vaccine Injury Attorney in Birmingham, AL

Have you or a loved one had an adverse reaction to a vaccine? If so, I may be able to assist you. I handle such matters in the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program (NVICP). I handle such matters in the United States Court of Federal Claims, to which I am admitted to practice, in Washington D.C. I provide representation in such matters at no cost to you. The NVICP offers an alternative to traditional litigation in situations in which a "covered" vaccine causes death or injury.

Timeframe for Filing.

Except in the case where a new vaccine is added to the table of "covered" vaccines, you have three (3) years from the onset of the first symptom related to your injury in which to file your claim in the NVICP; except in the event of death, you have two (2) years from the date of death and four (4) years from the onset of the first symptom related to your injury that resulted in death.

Common Vaccine Injuries

  • Shoulder Injury Related to Vaccine Administration (SIRVA). This type injury is related to the manner in which the vaccination was administered and commonly involves adhesive capsulitis, bursitis, tendonitis, as well as nerve damage, impingement and rotator cuff damage.
  • Guillain-BarrĂ© Syndrome (GBS). This injury involves an immune response in which the body attacks its nerves resulting often in numbness and tingling in the upper and lower extremities, often moving toward the abdomen and affecting breathing. GBS can cause temporary and permanent paralysis.
  • Anaphylaxis. This is an allergic reaction that often requires emergent care but can result in permanent injury. It typically involves rashes, hives, swelling of the lips, tongue or throat, difficulty breathing and can, if untreated, cause cardiorespiratory failure.
You should contact the Law Office of Edward I. Zwilling as soon as you suspect you have suffered a vaccine injury so that I may evaluate your case and advise you of your options.
